Here’s our story

During the 2020/21 lockdown and Covid restrictions, it was difficult to for many to get good catering besides your usual take-out. So we started out in my home kitchen, whipping up platters for friends’ birthdays and family picnics during the height of the covid lockdown. Everyone loved the food and the easy pickup- go graze boxes.

So, what started out as a word-by-mouth operated business has quickly grown into a fully-fledged small business that I operate out of several professional catering kitchens in Cape Town. The team has also grown to 5 people; we can cater for events as large as 100 people.

List of Allergens

Allergens

All our our food is freshly made and created daily in our on-site kitchens, meaning that we often deal with and come to contact with various allergens. We do our utmost best to ensure that no cross-contamination happens, but we cannot unfortunately fully minimize the risk that our chefs don't come into contact with any allergens at any given time.We cannot guarantee that all of our dishes are 100% allergen-free or completely suitable to people with allergies or intolerances. If you have an allergy or an intolerance, please inform our team upon arrival to the restaurant so they can help you choose the most suitable dishes.As our recipes do change from time to time, please take the time to familiarize yourself with our menu.

Gluten and dairy

We use gluten and dairy products in our kitchen and in our dishes extensively, meaning that cross-contamination cannot be avoided. While we are able to substitute certain ingredients in our dishes, please always check with our staff prior making an order.For online orders, we highly recommend specifying in the comment section regarding any allergies or intolerances during the checkout process.

Nuts

Our restaurants handle various seeds and nuts in our kitchens and our dishes. For anyone highly allergic to nuts we wouldn't recommend dining at Ginza, as we cannot be held responsible for any adverse allergic reactions.

Payment Policy

Payment: We accept Cash, EFT, and Credit Card Payments.Deposit: 60% deposit is required to secure the catering date of your event. The deposit will be applied towards the total cost of your catering services.Cancellation: If you need to cancel your event, please notify us as soon as possible. If you cancel more than 10 days before the event date, you will receive a 95% refund of any payments made. If you cancel less than 7 days before the event date, a 60% deposit will be forfeited. And 100% if cancelled less than 3 days before.Final Payment: The remaining balance is due no later than the event date. If the final payment is not received by this date, we reserve the right to add interest charges to the amount outstanding.Additional Charges: Any additional charges, including but not limited to additional menu items, equipment rentals, or staff fees, will be added to the final invoice.Gratuity: No gratuity will be added to service orders and this is added at the discretion of the client.Changes: Any changes to the menu, guest count, or event details must be made at least 4 days before the event date. We will do our best to accommodate any changes requested after this time, but cannot guarantee availability.Liability: Reunion Cafe & Catering Co. is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property or for any injuries sustained by guests during the event.
